I paint about, the absurd, the violent, the ordinary.

My work isn’t about beauty.

It’s about telling the truth without apology or explanation.

I work large because the stories are large.

I use tarps because they hold weight and history.

I use humor because I can’t help it.

I don’t try to be clever.

I try to be honest.

My painting are from my life, but they don’t need to stay there.

They’re about what we are all carrying, somewhere between memory, disaster, and delight.
